Abstract

Blu Ray Java Development: Java programming language is widely used for developing Distributed and Web based applications for Enterprises and standalone applications for Desktops, Mobile and Embedded devices. Recently Java has caught an amazing attention when it became a critical part for new High Definition (HD) Video Standard for Blu Ray Discs.

Recently Sun Microsystems released Java Platform, Micro Edition (JME) 3.0  which includes Blu-Ray development APIs. In this session, we will explore these API’s and see how it assists developing application for Blu Ray disc players.

Harimohan S. Bawa (Hari Bawa) works as a Principal Consultant with Sogeti USA LLC . He has more than 16 years of IT (Software Development and Architecture) experience. Harimohan is a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect  for JEE 5 and JEE 1.4 platforms. He enjoys architecting, designing and developing Java based Enterprise, Desktop (Swing) and Mobile applications. His additional interests include Unified Modeling Language (UML), Model Driven Architecture (MDA) and SOA. He has worked in various roles as  Software/Application Architect, Technical and Team Lead, Developer, Business Analyst and Trainer. Hari can be reached at hsbawa@gmail.com .
